ABOUT ME
I recently moved to Pigeon Lake and am excited to make music with everyone!
I have taught music and French for 17 years in the public schools. I have my Bachelor's of Education with a major in music, I have my Royal Conservatory grade 7 and grade 2 theory, I also have my introductory and level 1 Orff training from UofA. I have also taken the Estill Voice Training 30 hour course. I have taught group classes and k-6 music for numerous years in addition to teaching private voice and flute for 12 years. I also led parent and child classes for Parent Link for 2 and a half years. Over the years I have conducted many singing groups from girls choir, community choirs to men's barbershop.
I love to make music and share that with people of all ages!
CHILDREN'S CLASSES
I provide group music classes for parents and their children. They get to explore various percussion instruments, sing, act out songs, play singing games, dance and connect with other families.
Ages: babies-age 6

VOICE AND FLUTE INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
In person or online lessons for ages 7 and up.
45 minute lesson $35 Sept-April
Performance opportunities include: local music festivals, markets, community concerts, seniors’ homes, Royal Conservatory testing
Extra costs: Theory books, Etudes books, sheet music

SCHOOL CHOIR FALUN ELEMENTARY
LAKEDELL AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC
Thanks to the collaboration with the local schools,
I offered instrumental music at the local High School for one lunch hour and one after school block, after school choir at Falun Elementary and an after school ORFF music program for Lakedell Elementary.

COMMUNITY MUSIC
There are so many wonderful musicians in the Pigeon Lake area! I am part of two duos and also started a local community choir.
The adult choir is called: The Lakeshore Singers and donates a portion of their concert proceeds to local charities. Click on the Facebook link to contact us for more info.
Ivory and Air- A piano and voice duo that performs a variety of music: musical theater, jazz, pop, bluegrass. We are excited to perform for various events and have already performed for the Lakeshore Singers and at the Lakedell Farmer's market. Email singingberta@gmail.com for more info
